Meet the Admissions Staff

Brandy Finck

Title: Associate Vice President of Admission and Student Financial Services

Brandy Finck has worked in higher education admissions for over 10 years and comes to the University of Maine at Augusta from Texas. She previously served as the Director of Admissions & International Programs at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Brandy believes that higher education is the solution to improving socio-economic inequities and is passionate about the UMA public access mission. Brandy earned a BS and MA in Political Science, and a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M University. She also holds a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Katherine G. Trask

Title: Associate Director of Admissions

Kathy has worked at UMA since 1980 where she started as the Secretary in the Admissions Office and is now the Associate Director of Admissions. Not only has she worked with potential and current students over the years, she graduated from UMA with an AS in Criminal Justice and a BA in Social Sciences. She continued her education with USM for a Master in Adult and Higher Education degree. Kathy works with all students, including international, and has a solid knowledge of UMA and all of its offerings.

Jeremy T. Bouford

Title: Admissions Counselor
Expertise: Recruitment Territory - Central and Eastern Maine

北京快3代理Jeremy is currently an undergraduate student at UMA. Though Jeremy was a biology major for three years, he recently switched programs to complete a Bachelor of Liberal Studies with a minor in Biology. His intentions for doing this was because Jeremy discovered a passion for higher education. Once finishing his undergraduate degree, Jeremy plans to enroll in a Master’s degree in Higher Education. Specifically, Jeremy would like to focus on Adult Learning.

Currently, Jeremy and his husband reside in Augusta where they are both avid gardeners and greatly enjoy all things outdoors. They often “get away” for camping trips, hiking adventures, and ice fishing excursions.

Ariel M. Cassista

Title: Manager of Customer Relationship Management Operations

北京快3代理Ariel has worked at UMA supporting the Admissions Department in various capacities since 2007. She currently manages the prospective student database, digital communications, and text messaging operations. Ariel enjoys leveraging technology to not only make her team’s jobs more efficient but to make the Admissions process as accessible, seamless and clear as possible for prospective students.

In addition, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies. A “typical” non-traditional student, Ariel prides herself in working full time while maintaining a 4.0 GPA as a part-time student. Ariel grew up breeding and showing her champion German Shepherds all over the United States. She has exhibited at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on several occasions, and one of her dogs was featured in Martha Stewart Magazine.

Gail A. Pelletier

Title: Admissions Coordinator

Gail has worked in Admissions at UMA for over 13 years and has achieved both an associates in Liberal Studies and a bachelor’s in Social Sciences. Within the next year she is looking to pursue her Master’s Degree from USM in either Leadership Studies or Adult and Higher Education.

北京快3代理Within admissions, Gail reviews student applications and meets with applicants and prospective students. She develops and coordinates activities designed to assist individuals and groups with admissions and enrollment steps. In addition, Gail is the primary point of contact for high school, Community College and Adult Education groups interested in visiting the Augusta campus.

In her free time she enjoys camping, hiking, going to the beach and gathering with friends and family.

Leo P. Labranche

Title: Enrollment Specialist

北京快3代理Leo is an Alumnus of the University of Maine at Augusta and can be found at the front desk in the Office of Admissions. He enjoys assisting students with the application process, enrolling in courses, and providing information regarding the many degree programs offered at UMA.

北京快3代理Leo has lived in Augusta all his life and has been a board member of the Augusta Downtown Alliance since 2015. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and playing tennis. Leo graduated from UMA in 2010 but continues to take courses whenever he can.

Nathan Parenteau

Title: Admissions Counselor
Expertise: Recruitment Territory -?Southern Maine & New England.

北京快3代理Nathan is a recent graduate of the University of Maine in Orono where he earned his Master of Arts in Communication. He is an Alumnus of Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, and Southern Maine Community College where he earned an A.A.S in Communications and New Media.??Nathan is based in southern Maine, at UMA Saco Center. He is one of UMA’s main recruiters visiting high schools in southern Maine as well as attending college fairs representing UMA. He works with prospective students and applicants to help them navigate each step of their admissions process.

Caitlin Ramsay

Title: Admission Counselor

北京快3代理Caitlin is a recent graduate of the University of Southern Maine having earned a Master of Science in Adult and Higher Education with a focus in Student Affairs. She is an alumna of UMA where she earned her B.A. in Social Science and her Secondary Education certification. She has worked the past five years in many capacities of education and is now working in higher education.

When Caitlin is not working she is traveling. As of 2019, she has been to three continents and eight countries. She is also an adrenaline junkie and has been to most major theme parks in the United States. Some of Caitlin’s other interests include art, theater, snowshoeing, reading and catching the latest blockbuster.

Jeromie Grammer

Title: Admissions Counselor & Men's Assistant Basketball Coach

Jeromie joined the admissions team at UMA from Port Arthur, Texas and is also the Assistant Coach for Men’s Basketball. Jeromie has spent time working in various departments across higher education from Athletics, Commercial Music, University Advancement, and Human Resources. Jeromie loves the excitement, connections, and opportunities available to students during their college experience and is looking to share this with anyone interested in what UMA has to offer!

Jeromie earned two AS Commercial Music degrees from Lamar State College Port Arthur, TX, and holds a BS in Sport Management & Athletic Coaching from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. Jeromie enjoys playing golf, watching football, reading books, and traveling. Jeromie and his wife live in the Augusta area and are passionate about serving the community!

Meet the UMA Admissions Ambassadors

北京快3代理The UMA Admissions Ambassador Scholarship Program provides unique leadership opportunities for students on both the Augusta and Bangor Campuses. Student Ambassadors assist the Admissions office through recruitment/outreach efforts, program assistance, and campus tours all while being active in the UMA community and maintaining high academic standards.

Cassidy北京快3代理Cassidy is a sophomore in the Nursing Program and a member of the women’s basketball team. Originally from Corinth, Cassidy just recently moved into Stevens Commons and will be a great resource to prospective students looking to explore housing options at UMA. Cassidy’s favorite part about UMA is the welcoming campus community and the family environment it creates. She hopes to be one of the friendly faces students remember when they come to tour campus, just like she experienced when she came to UMA for the first time.

CharleneCharlene is in her second year as a Justice Studies major and is a part of the women’s track and field team. Before coming to UMA, Charlene took a gap year and served as a member of the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps where she developed leadership skills through community service and outreach. Charlene hopes to translate the skills she learned as she assists prospective students to explore “the endless opportunities that UMA has to offer.”

Eli北京快3代理Eli will be joining the UMA Ambassador program for his final semester at UMA. After graduation from the Justice Studies program, Eli hopes to become a police officer. Since 2016, Eli has assisted the Admissions Department as an Ambassador and has become a leader to new students entering the program. He enjoys giving tours of campus and showing potential students and their families how UMA can provide an excellent path to start, continue or finish their educational journey.

NoahNoah will also be joining us as an ambassador for his final semester at UMA. After he graduates in December with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Justice Studies, Noah hopes to join the workforce while preparing to work for the US Border Patrol. A 1,000 point scorer for the Men’s Moose Basketball team, Noah appreciates the bond he has established with his fellow athletes and with the faculty and staff at UMA. He is always willing to provide helpful advice to new incoming students with a warm welcome and friendly smile.

PaigePaige will be starting her first semester as a Student Ambassador on the UMA Bangor campus. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program where she is pursuing her dream of working as a veterinary technician. While juggling part-time work and full-time academics, Paige stays involved on and off-campus through the TRiO program, Veterinary Technology Organization, and by volunteering at local animal shelters. You might recognize Paige from the news, where she has advocated the importance of affordable education and UMA’s Pine Tree State Pledge. She hopes to share the same message with new students at UMA.

Saige北京快3代理Saige is currently a junior in the Mental Health and Human Services program with a concentration in children and families. In the future, she would like to pursue a teaching degree while also studying Business Management courses to further her knowledge base. Saige lives on the island coast of Stonington and hopes to share her appreciation of ITV and delayed viewing options with potential students who may have busy schedules like herself. Saige will assist the Admissions Department on the Bangor Campus.
